Let’s talk about how to relax and have fun during a photoshoot!! Here are things that I frequently hear leading up to photoshoots…
“I don’t know my angles or what looks good.”
“I hate getting my photo taken.”
“I just feel so awkward!”
Yo, I know. Posing in front of a camera is perhaps one of the most unnatural things you could do lol. I also used to hate being in front of the camera. But, it’s all in the preparation and mindset! If you come to your shoot prepared, and if you’re working with the right photographer, it can be a TON of fun 😄
Here are some things that I recommend doing to prep for a photoshoot – don’t forget to save this post for reference later! 📌
✅ Choose the right photographer for you. Follow them on social and chat on the phone to see if you get along. If the conversation doesn’t flow, then they might not be the right fit for you. 📱
✅ Think about it as a form of self care, not as a chore you have to do for your business If your mindset isn’t in the right place, you won’t feel good about the photos, no matter how great they might be. ✨
✅ Try on your outfits in advance and send mirror selfies to your photographer. We’ll be able to tell you if it will photograph well or not! Don’t add the extra stress of worrying on shoot day if your looks doesn’t work out. 👗
✅ If there’s an area you’re self conscious about, communicate that to your photographer! The more we know, the better. Always be communicating! 🗣
✅ This is gonna sound weird, but practice! Practice taking photos of yourself. I might be dropping an at-home photoshoot tutorial this month to show you how 🤫 The more often you’re in front of the camera, the more comfortable you’ll be. 📸
